Wellborn Cemetery

The Wellborn Cemetery came into existence in 1874 with the first documented burial--two-year-old Newton Farquhar.  The burial ground contains the graves of historic community leaders, including brothers and business partners Thomas Harvey Royder and John Horace Royder; veterans from armed conflicts dating back to the Civil War; Brazos County pioneers, and members of fraternal organizations, identified by the distinctive symbols on their tombstones.  Today, it represents generations upon generations of family members and people from all walks of life.  For more information about reserving plots for your loved ones in the historical Wellborn Cemetery, please contact us.
